The Citizens Run Trust event yesterday, 4/08/13 saw over 800 participants representing and raising awareness for 14 NGO's along Marina Beach. 90% of participants were wearing the Citizens Run Trust t-shirts, 100 of which were sold out of out MSSI Chennai Chapter Office! Starting from outside Queen Mary's College, participants walked 8 km, with each NGO carrying their own banner. The event was flagged off by the General Manager of Taj Club House, Mount Road. The beach provided a wonderful venue for the walk. The walk was rounded off with a cultural dance by the John Britto Dance Company. A great event!
The support to be given out by the Citizens Trust Run was to 3 NGO's, who needed funds to complete their own projects. MSSI participated in good measure to say a heartfelt thank you for their kind gesture of a donation of 3 lakhs during the last financial year!
